Description:

A political cartoon about a metaphorical train of Soviet socialist progress (helmed by Stalin) which keeps going ahead despite the attempts of external and internal forces to derail it.

The very end of the film shows the Palace of the Soviets, which never ended up being built, due to the outbreak of WW2 and Stalin's death.

The first video above was digitized from Betacam SP by Vidachesto in April 2024. It is the best version currently available. Due to the poor condition of the original tape, the sound was used from another copy of the cartoon. Noise suppression algorithms were applied to the video sequence.

The second video above is an older fan-restoration that removes hard-coded English subtitles that had been added to the video release, though the image is still somewhat blurry.
