Description:

Automated porridge production system provides the city with food for three years. Based on the Brothers Grimm story and German folklore.

The original story can be read here (number 103 in "Grimm's Fairy Tales"). It is quite short. It was also published on its own in the USSR many times, illustrated for children (for example, here's one from 1940). This animated version, however, is quite an original variation.

In 2013, Soyuzmultfilm released a 48-page book adaptation of the animated film: Голованов В. Горшочек каши (по мотивам сказки братьев Гримм). — АСТ, 2013.
