Description:
The old man who commands the colds and snows tries to freeze a boy who's come to the forest for firewood. But when the hardworking fellow withstands the trial, he is rewarded.
This is the Georgian version of the character known as "Morozko" in Russian folklore (later, as Ded Moroz aka. Father Frost, who is quite similar to the Western "Santa Claus", except for a lingering association with controlling the weather).
The first film to be directed by Iosif (Joseph) Samsonadze.
Scanned in April 2022 from 16mm film as part of the RuTracker film scanning project.
