About a mouse who is initially like all the other mice. But her meetings with Raccoon, Frog, Bison and Bear change her spiritually, and her meeting with Eagle transforms her essence. Based on "The Story of Jumping Mouse" (1972) by American writer Hyemeyohsts Storm, inspired by Native American folklore.

The text of the original story can be read here. To find the Russian translation that the director would have read, search online for "Притча о Прыгающей Мыши". In the original story the mouse is male, but because the default gender for the word "mouse" in Russian is female, the mouse in the Russian version of the story (and in the cartoon) was changed to be female.

It can also be watched here.
