A wolf gate-crashes a wedding... After a Belorusian folk tale, although the decay of the Soviet Union at the time shows through the pores of this depiction of the tale.
Director Igor Volchyok grew to be one of the most prominent names in the field of Post-USSR animation. This was his second film.
A more traditional version of the tale can be seen in The Deer and the Wolf (1950) by Dmitriy Babichenko.
