Originally made by Prisma International for FBJ around 1997, the subtitles had some errors that likely made the film's logic hard to follow (for example, "Do you love him, Rosita?" at 18:15 was instead translated as "Do you love them, Rosita?"). Also, the timings often did not match very well with the spoken words. Those subtitles were used as the basis for Spanish subs made around 2015, and they were then transcribed into soft-subs by Niffiwan in Oct. 2026 and heavily revised on the basis of the original texts, the Russian translations used for the film and (sometimes) snippets from Gwynne Edwards' 1990 translations of Lorca's plays. Some attempt to rhyme is made in the first half of the film (where it is sometimes part of the comedic effect), but the second half mostly focuses on translating the meaning of the words instead.

Timed to the English hard-subbed video that is 20:55 long.
