Description:

A tanker is trapped behind enemy lines near Minsk, soon after the Nazi invasion of the USSR.

It is 1941, the beginning of what would later be called the Great Patriotic War. The Nazis have occupied Minsk. Soviet soldiers, who have been surrounded, are trying to break through to the East. Among them is a young tanker who does not want to leave his combat vehicle to be used by the enemy. After yet another battle, the tanker is seriously wounded. He is rescued by local residents, who nurse and help him. The tanker returns to the tank and decides to take a desperate step - to break through to Minsk, where his beloved girlfriend lives. He understands that it will be a lopsided battle, but decides on one last fight. And so, sowing horror and panic among the Nazis, a tank with red stars on its turret bursts into the city.

Almost wordless, except for a few street signs and an important radio broadcast. Most of the direction signs are in English (or perhaps German?), perhaps to allow the film to be better understood on the international film festival circuit.
