Description:

Fedya Zaytsev drew a little man on the wall of the classroom, but he was afraid of responsibility, kept silent about his act and put his comrade in a spot. When Fedya comes back home, all toys and heroes of his favourite books leave him...

A moral "educative" tale, but also a break away from rotoscoping and social realism. A landmark animation for the Brumbergs. They later remade it into a feature film in 1960.

The first video above (20:52) has a sharper image, but not-as-good colours, while the second video (19:56) has warmer colours, but is blurrier and at a slightly too-fast frame rate (for PAL television).
