Description:

An adaptation of the second of L. Frank Baum's Oz books, The Marvelous Land of Oz (1904).


The book itself was written after the success of the stage musical extravaganza version of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz from 1902. (Baum wrote it also as an intent to turn it into a stage musical, which it did with the stage musical The Woggle Bug which was a flop after a month

Top, Jack pumpkinhead, and Strashila, who had since left the Emerald City, and also had reunited with the Iron woodcutter and Dolly (Dorothy wasn't even in The Marvelous Land of Oz, mainly because she wasn't popular in the Wizard of Oz stage musical, as for the cowardly lion, he wasn't in the book, he wasn't in LAND because his character was reduced into a mute bit part in the stage musical, and he somehow didn't get put in this animation.) And they have met Mr. HM Woggle Bug TE (which means highly magnified and Thoroughly Educated). They have to go through obstacles which were created by Mombi in order to prevent them from going back to the Emerald City which Jinjur is now ruling. They eventually get back but the army of revolt get scared of the mice which The Scarecrow put inside him. The heroes decide to build a thing which they call the Gump. They get into a jackdaws nest by accident, but they head to see Glinda the good witch of the South, who tells them the rightful ruler of Oz was this girl named Ozma, who Mombi had hidden. Will they be able to find Ozma, so that Jinjur won't be queen anymore?
