Biography:
Born in 1960 to a family of cinematographers. As a child, he starred as an angel in Parajanov's film The Color of Pomegranates.
In 1984, he graduated from the Higher two-year courses for directors and screenwriters in Moscow. Until 1988 he lived in Yerevan, then moved to Moscow. Since 1992, he has been permanently residing in New York.
He directed three animated shorts before moving to New York. Overall, he's created a dozen cartoons, several dozen music videos, as well as two hundred commercials in Russia and the USA.
