This film is part of the Adventures in the Emerald City series.
Description:
Animated version of L. Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz (and influenced a little by Aleksandr Volkov's Wizard of the Emerald City, a modified version of version of the same).
The story follows a girl named Dolly (a combination of the two names, Dorothy, which was what Baum called his heroine, and Ellie, which is what Volkov called Dorothy in his retelling), who gets caught in a cyclone with her dog Totoshka and they end up in the Land of Oz. Villina the Good Witch of the North tells Dolly that in order to get back to Kansas, she has to go to see the Wizard. Along the way she meets Strashila the scarecrow, the Iron woodcutter, and the cowardly lion. They come through obstacles along the way (including weird beasts and a poppy field), but will they be able to get to the Wizard?
