Description:
Based on the short story La puerta condenada (The Condemned Door) by Julio Cortázar (1914-1984) from the 1956 collection Final del juego.
An important element in the story is the (perhaps machismo-influenced) supposition that an unmarried woman without child will feel so unfulfilled that it can lead to a "hysteric" behaviour that she will imagine having an imaginary infant. The use of monologue interieur, street language, surreal elements, jazz influence are elements of his sometime quite experimental work.
