Description:
The little boy Timmy (Timoshka) and his puppy are decorating a tree for the holiday, but the puppy gets stuck outside in the cold.
As this was made in the USSR, the tree would have been for the New Year festivities, but there's nothing specific to that in the story - it could just as easily be seen as a Christmas tree.
