Description:

A little girl suffers an emotional wound. In her imagination the Wound takes on a life of its own, in the form of a shaggy creature that becomes her best friend. They grow up together. Firmly ensconced in the mind of the girl, the Wound starts to control her life completely.

Researchers Charles Forceville and Sissy Paling published a paper in Sept. 2018 about metaphors of "depression" in this and eight other animation shorts: The metaphorical representation of depression in short, wordless animation films.

The music in the beginning is "The Corner" by Varya Panina.
