Description:
Like any other boy, Alyosha wants to skip, run and jump, but adults are always setting conditions and restrictions. Yet his imagination helps him overcome his routine and see the fun and fantasy even where there is none.
Many parents recognize themselves in this cartoon, and children recognize themselves in the boy Alyosha.
The famous opening section of Pushkin's "Ruslan and Lyudmila" is heard at the end (as a poem that the students must recite).
This film got released internationally and on video/DVD under the title "Boy Is a Boy" - however, that is a wrong translation of the Russian title, as well as being ungrammatical in English, so it has been changed here. The original subtitles (done by a Mexican company) had many mistakes as well, which have been corrected.
The video above is rather too yellow; the background of the film was originally white.
