Directed by Perch Sarkisyan 1922-1970. An animation director that died too young, art-director since 1952, his debut as director was in 1965, this was his second direction. Often at the time the first one was a tribute to the revolution and the communist cause, to start at the safe side of the communist leadership. So in the way the second one would be the more personal signature of a new director. Sarkisyan draws with from a loose pulse, one could say, in a style that would fit in a French comic magazine. Somewhere between the work of Paul Cuvelier and Hans Kresse one could say. Refreshing in Russian animation at the time. Alas... he died too young.
