This film is part of the Oh and Ah series.

Description:

The optimist Ah and pessimist Oh look at the world from opposite perspectives.

The characters in the film represent common Russian exclamations (Ah, Oh, Oi, Ayayay, etc.). Some of them do not have direct English equivalents, or aren't used in quite the same way in the two languages.

According to Georgiy Borodin, this cartoon and its sequel were widely popular in the 1970s-1980s.

A book version was published in either 2015 or 2016 as part of the Multskazka series by Yabloko.

The first video above (9:09 long) is in the original frame rate and has a better quality image than the second.
