Description:

Based on the story by Kir Bulychyov. Aliens from the planet Geda fly to India on a symposium for endangered animals of the Galaxy.

As a result of a technical malfunction, one of them finds himself in a scout (pioneer) camp situated near Moscow, transformed into a tiger. By means of the girl Yulia and her grandmother, the alien manages to reach India.

According to the writer Kir Bulychyov himself, this film turned out to be less successful than The Secret of the Third Planet, the animated feature by the same director made four years earlier that had also adapted one of Bulychyov's stories. Perhaps because the creators of Two Tickets failed to create characters that were as as memorable. (Как стать фантастом, 2000, p.486)

Critics in the magazine "World of Science Fiction" agreed with Bulychyov: "Lightning did not strike twice. Nor could it have. <...> "The Secret of the Third Planet" was a breakthrough, while this adaptation was an ordinary Soviet cartoon about pioneers and talking animals, which is remembered mainly because of the previous success of its creators."
