A remake of the 1941 film about a chatty fly who finds a coin and goes to buy a samovar.

The supervising director of the remake was Roman Davydov, who made a number of changes from the original, including changing the designs of the characters, moving around the order of some scenes, and having more close-ups. Boris Dyozhkin reportedly liked the colours but disliked many of the other changes.
