Description:
A poor working girl goes to a ball and falls in love with the prince. Based on the famous European folk tale as told by Charles Perrault, with Russian verse by Genrikh Sapgir.
As noted by Russian animation historian Georgiy Borodin, the film was widely popular in the USSR in the 1970s and 1980s.
An English dub of the film was done in 1995 by Films by Jove for the series "Stories from My Childhood". That version replaced the whole soundtrack, adding new dialogues and a new musical score.
