Description:
Children build a snowman to deliver a letter to Grandpa Frost asking for a fir-tree. At midnight, he comes to life and, with a yard puppy, goes to deliver the letter. Based on the folk tale by Vladimir Suteyev, 'Yolka' ('Fir-tree').
Two English versions of this film were released in the US: 'Spunky the Snowman' and 'The Snow Postman'.

The original film is about 19:08 long (at 24 frames per second). The second video above is 18:34 at 25fps. The default video above is at 17:43, and it seems to be in an odd frame rate (something like 26fps). It seems to have the best image quality of the videos on Youtube, though.
