Biography:
In 1925-28 he studied at Goskinotekhnikum. From 1931 staged live-action feature films at various film studios around the country. Participated in the Great Patriotic War. In 1947 he joined the "Soyuzmultfilm" film studio. In 1949 became head of Minsk film studio (in Belarus). He came back to "Soyuzmultfilm" in 1950; from 1952 worked in volumetric animation. Directed mostly films with theatrical puppets or combined ones. Was a member of the board of directors and artistic council of the HPO [?] of puppet movies at "Soyuzmultfilm".
